Creating websites that have a clean & very minimal look to them should be a goal for all designers. I know we get too caught up on adding textures, effects and so many other distractions in photoshop and css. Many of this distractions come from the so called “trends” in design. (check out this’ article_ for more on trends). Having a balance in the design work of course is important and it really depends on the target audience and branding of the site. But we should always try to shoot for simplicity in design. Below some of examples of great minimal website designs.
