Thoughts on Responsive Web Design

As you might heard by now responsive web design is the big next thing in Website Design. If you read and and are up to date with other design blogs. You should have heard of it. So, what is really responsive web design?

RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN
Responsive Web Design is a technique that allows you to setup a column layout which will automatically reize according to the users browser resize interaction. This would eliminate the need to have separate css style sheets for desktop, mobile, ipad. The use of CSS3 Media Queries allow you to create specific pieces or sections of code that would only function and come into play once a certain amount pixel is reached. You can set specific media queries setting exact pixels dimensions where a specific set of css code will come in to play or you can call an external css file altogether.

If you still haven’t played around with CSS3, what are you waiting for?. It’s been finally giving designers a chance to code our sites in a more efficient way. Many of the new features in CSS3 are keeping us away and thankfully that is from flash. It not only ads great looking elements all done with CSS but it helps with loading time of our websites as well.
